DRAFT PROPOSAL 2025
CRYSTAL FOUNTAIN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

As we build God’s sanctuary, let us remember that every gift, prayer, and act of service is precious in His sight. Though the journey may require sacrifice, the Lord is faithful to provide and strengthen those who labor for His glory. “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former… and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:9). May we continue to build with faith, unity, and joyful hearts, trusting that this sanctuary will be a place of hope and worship for many.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the Crystal Fountain Development project.

The Crystal Fountain Development is a proposed multi-storey church complex for New Life SDA Church, Nairobi. It will include a main auditorium seating 3,000–5,000 people, additional smaller auditoriums, basement parking for up to 700 vehicles, a library, a church history museum, offices, classrooms, and landscaped grounds — all on the church's current site along Ngong Road.

The current building can no longer comfortably accommodate the congregation, which has grown significantly over the years. The new development is designed to serve not just today's members but future generations, and to position the church as a centre of influence in Nairobi.

Construction is targeted to begin in 2026, subject to completion of the design, approvals, and sufficient funding. The timeline may be adjusted based on progress in these areas.

The estimated construction cost is KES 500–600 million. This is a preliminary figure and will be refined as the architectural and engineering designs are finalised. The church is committed to transparent financial reporting throughout the process.

The project will be funded through member contributions, tithes and offerings designated for the building fund, fundraising initiatives, and potential grants or partnerships. Every member is encouraged to contribute prayerfully and sacrificially. Details of the fundraising strategy will be shared through official church channels.

Contributions can be made through the church treasury, designated building fund envelopes, or via bank transfer to the church's official building fund account. Details are available from the church administration office. All contributions are acknowledged and accounted for.

Yes. The construction plan will be phased to ensure that worship services and church programs continue with as little disruption as possible. Temporary arrangements will be communicated well in advance to all members.

The project is overseen by the church's Building Committee, working under the direction of the church board and in consultation with the Kenya-Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Professional architects, engineers, and project managers will be engaged to execute the work.

The current plans represent a concept proposal. The detailed architectural and structural design is still in progress. Member feedback gathered at this stage will inform the final design before it is submitted for county approval and construction.

Yes. The project requires planning and building approvals from the Nairobi City County Government as well as the National Construction Authority (NCA). Environmental and structural assessments may also be required. The church is committed to meeting all legal and regulatory requirements.

The main auditorium is planned to seat between 3,000 and 5,000 people. This capacity is designed to serve the full congregation on regular Sabbaths and accommodate large gatherings such as camp meetings, evangelistic series, and union events.

Yes. The development includes dedicated Sabbath school classrooms and flexible spaces that can be used for children's ministry, youth programs, and small group meetings. Specific layouts will be developed in consultation with ministry leaders.

The development includes a basement parking structure with capacity for up to 700 vehicles across three levels. This is intended to address the significant parking challenges the congregation faces, especially on busy Sabbaths and during events.

Accessibility is a key consideration in the design. The building will include ramps, lifts, accessible restrooms, and dedicated parking for persons with disabilities, in line with Kenya's building accessibility guidelines and the church's commitment to inclusive ministry.

A project of this scale typically takes 3–5 years to complete, depending on funding availability, weather, and construction phasing. A detailed project schedule will be shared once the design and contractor are finalised.

The current plan involves developing the existing site. Decisions about the existing structure — whether to retain, repurpose, or demolish it — will be made as part of the detailed design process and will be communicated to members before any action is taken.

You can share your feedback using the "Have Your Say" form on this page. You may also speak directly to a member of the Building Committee at church or contact the administration office. All feedback is reviewed by the project team.

Updates will be shared through the church website, bulletin, WhatsApp communication channels, and periodic town hall meetings open to all members. The Building Committee is committed to full transparency at every stage of the project.

Yes. New Life SDA Church is an official congregation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church under the Kenya-Lake Union Conference. The Crystal Fountain Development is a church-authorised project, subject to the governance structures and financial policies of the Adventist Church.

The project will be phased to align with funding availability. This means construction will begin with the phases that can be fully funded, rather than waiting until the total amount is raised. This approach ensures momentum while maintaining financial responsibility.
